Junior School Curriculum - Years 3 to 6

At Somerset College the academic programme in Years 3 to 6 builds upon the foundations developed in earlier years. The programme focusses on the development of the whole child building confidence to inquire about their world, both within the classroom and beyond.

The Primary Years Programme continues until the end of Year 5 and provides a logical pathway to the Middle Years Programme which commences in Year 6 and continues until the end of Year 10. The PYP allows the National Curriculum to be accommodated and indeed expanded upon.
