Is the pool available to use by the general public (for example, for lap swimming)?

No, there is no lap swimming available for the general public. However, the general public are invited to join in all programmes that are run at the Somerset Swimming Academy. These include; Masters Swimming, Learn To Swim, Deep Water Running Classes, Junior and Elite Squads.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, there are three pools at the Academy. The main pool (10 lane 50m) is heated to 28 degrees, the two Learn To Swim Pools are heated to 32 degrees.

Can parents of Somerset students use the pool?

Yes. Parents of Somerset students may use the pool for general lap swimming, subject to availability. Parents should check with pool staff (07 5559 7339) for availability. Parents need to sign in at the pool reception desk each time they swim. There is no cost for this.

Where is the pool (how do I get there)?

The pool is located at the back of the College, away from Somerset Drive. During the week, access to the pool car park is through Wyangan Gate on Somerset Drive (at the sporting ovals). Follow the internal roads inside the gates to the back of the College, where the car park is located, adjacent to the basketball courts. Access to the pool on weekends is via Sara Carrigan Court (off Clover Hill Drive), with parking on Sara Carrigan Court next to the tennis courts.

Is there a Swim Club at Somerset?

Yes, the Somerset Swim Club is affiliated under Swimming Australia and open to the public. Memberships are available through the pool reception.
