The Class of 2024 has achieved exceptional academic outcomes, marking one of the strongest years in Somerset College’s history. Key highlights include:
- 3 students achieved the second-highest ATAR of 99.90 – Mical Ma, Penelope Deacon, and William Warwick. These students are among just 36 in the state to achieve this score.
- 3 students achieved an ATAR of 99.85.
- 24 students achieved an ATAR of 99+ (top 2% of Australia) – our best-ever result.
- 27 students achieved the equivalent of OP1 and the Lorraine Pilgram Medal – our best-ever result.
- 41.18% of students achieved an ATAR of 95 and above (top 5% of Australia).
- 63.24% of students achieved an ATAR of 90 and above (top 10% of Australia) – our second-best-ever result.
- 86.03% of students achieved an ATAR of 80 and above (top 20% of Australia) – our second-best-ever result.
- A median ATAR of 92.9, equalling the College’s best-ever outcome.
- 11 students achieved perfect scores across 9 subjects, earning a QCAA Subject Achievement Award, with 14 perfect scores in total.
- 32 students earned a QCAA Certificate of Academic Commendation for achieving ‘A’ grades in all six general subjects.
