On Thursday 21 February, Somerset College hosted the 30th Annual APS Junior School Swimming Carnival and we finished with some outstanding team and individual results at the conclusion of the day. Overall in the Aggregate placings as a team, we finished in fourth place!

The results from the APS 2019 Swimming Carnival are a great improvement from 2018 and I could not be more proud.

Congratulation to the following students for some amazing individual/ age group achievements:

  • Mia Graham - 3rd place Age Champion- 10 years girls
  • Zoe Perry - 1st place Age Champion- 11 years girls
  • Malorie Gell - 3rd place Age Champion- 11 years girls
  • Bessie Dear - 1st place Age Champion- 12 years girls
  • 12 years girls took out 1st place for their age group - Bianca Cusack, Bessie Dear, Milly Derbyshire, Erin Shepherd and Lilly Hodge
  • 12 years girls also broke a record in the 4x50m Free Relay that had been standing since 1999 - Bianca Cusack, Bessie Dear, Milly Derbyshire and Erin Shepherd
