As part of Year 4s' current unit of inquiry, students experienced learning beyond the classroom to find out more about the perspectives of people in our community who have different beliefs and values. With an open-mind, Year 4 travelled to Brisbane in Week 6 and participated in learning at the Chiang Tan Buddhist Temple and also at the Brisbane Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.
Both venues explained the points of view of their beliefs and answered the children’s wonderings about the belief systems. It was an opportunity to also be guided with mindfulness, meditation and well-being as we continue our journey in this, 'who we are' inquiry.
