Hear from current and former IB students, and our IB Diploma teachers, who will answer all questions to offer a true picture of studying the IB Diploma for Years 11 and 12, including how it translates to tertiary opportunity and readiness.
Year 9 students will have the opportunity to commence their pre-Diploma course in Year 10, 2024, so we encourage you to also attend and chat with the IB team.
At Somerset, students have the opportunity to opt for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) as their senior pathway. The IBDP curriculum offers a world-oriented education to its candidates. With so many extraordinary benefits of the IB Diploma, students have the opportunity to rise beyond their horizons by engaging in a programme that is both academically rigorous and all-encompassing.
The IBDP course is designed to prepare students who are wanting to pursue their higher education at university. So why do students choose this programme over their own state or national programmes? At a time when you will be exploring your options for 2024 it is good to hear and understand the views of others from beyond your College community.
To date, more than 1.2 million students worldwide have graduated from the Diploma Programme (DP). IBDP students reflect diverse experiences and perspectives, attend IB World Schools in 147 countries representing an even broader range of nationalities.
Click HERE to see brief stories from IBDP graduates from around the world. Their stories are fascinating - each one unique and insightful. Take a moment to meet graduates who look back at the impact of the DP on their lives.
