You may have heard of a new and growing initiative called RAW, can Recycling for Animal Welfare, started by Lachlan Ray Year 8. Lachlan has been walking around at the College, at the swimming carnivals from the start of the year collecting cans.
This was the catalyst that began Lachlan’s entrepreneurial thinking, combining philanthropic values, recycling, Tomra, and the AWLQ.
Since then, Lachlan’s undertaken a training course at the AWLQ. This strengthened his resolve to support a community service that receives no government funding, relying solely on donations. RAW recently donated $180 worth of dog and cat food, restocking supplies that were critically low.
Our next collection will be at the swimming carnival. Please support us and recycle your cans with our volunteers.
‘Keep a paw in the door’- launching 2020 officially is RAW!
