Somerset College raised more than $3,000 celebrating Loud Shirt Day in vibrant style, on Friday 18 October.
The Junior School contributed an impressive $3,505.75 to Hear and Say, an organisation dedicated to supporting children with hearing loss. The day was filled with colour, energy, and a powerful sense of community as students donned their brightest shirts to raise awareness for this important cause.
At the Junior School assembly, a novelty cheque was proudly presented, marking the success of the fundraising efforts. The event highlighted the impact that Hear and Say has on children, including students like Violet, a Pre-Prep student at Somerset College born with hearing loss due to microtia and atresia. Thanks to the support from Hear and Say, Violet and other children like her are able to access crucial resources and therapies for their speech, language, and social development.
Thank you to all who contributed to making Loud Shirt Day a resounding success! Together, we are making a difference in the lives of children with hearing loss.
