Somerset sent out 19 players to compete in the regional finals of the Brisbane International Schools Challenge earlier this month. We competed in three divisions, being Red Ball (Year 4 and under), Orange Ball (Year 5 and under) and Green Ball (Year 6 and under).
It was a tough day of competition with at least nine schools involved in each division however our Spartans managed to win both Orange and Red ball divisions, our Green ball team came second overall.
What this means for the 19 kids is that they now all get to compete in the state finals early January against the best teams from all other regions and it is also the first time Somerset College has had a team from all three divisions in the state finals.
