Last weekend our Football Spartans played Round 9 in the Football Gold Coast Miniroos Competition. Please read below how the Spartans played over the weekend.
The Under 6 players had the weekend free to recover from the previous week's games, with a bye this round.
The Under 7 Blue is presented by Somerset Year 1 students. Those brave boys play teams every week with players who are a few months older than they are. This weekend Robina was waiting for them. The boys did well, scored a lot of goals and ultimately had fun, despite a loss.
The Under 7 Green played well in New South Wales verse a strong Tweed United. Playing strong opponents gives them good experience and an opportunity to identify their weaknesses. They can also assess where they could have made improvements individually, and as a team to help play the next game.
The Under 9 travelled to Pizzey Park to play against Burleigh. After a busy week with Inter-House Athletics Carnival, the boys were looking fit and strong. The team worked well together and played good football.
Saturday June 8 all Spartans Football teams play home games.
