Following the Back Up Round against Emmanuel College in Week 5, this week Spartans versed Trinity Lutheran College for APS Season 2. Results from last week can be found in Resources.
Congratulations to Staff Spartan of Week 5 Bronwyn Lee and Tracey Payne for their professionalism and dedication to APS Sport. We thank them for being efficient and proactive in the direction of our Spartans and other APS AFL student athletes last week.
Mako Inukai competed at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Queensland State Championships on Saturday 17 August on the Gold Coast.
Mako placed first overall winning the event with three gold medals for her rope, hoop and freehand routine as well as a silver medal in her clubs routine.
Mako now prepares for the National Clubs Carnival held on the Gold Coast in September 2019 where she will compete with gymnasts across Australia in a five-day event.
These outstanding results are a credit to Mako as she devotes up to 18 hours a week in training at the Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics Club.
Paxton Stewart was the Boy Champion at the Gold Coast Region Red Ball Tournament Circuit Event Sunday 18 August.
