With the 2018 Commonwealth Games just around the corner, 30 of our Somerset College students took the opportunity to perform in front of the 15,000 Games Shapers who converged on the Gold Coast Convention Centre on 11 and 12 November as part of their volunteer orientation.
Representing a variety of year levels, our students took on a number of roles which included:
The students committed to 2.5 days of rehearsals and performances, and were praised for their attitude, spirit, and behaviour by the event organisers. A special thank you to Ms Jacqui Sina, and Mrs Christine Flint who gave up their weekends to support the students and provide them with this unique opportunity. Commonwealth Games Teams will converge on Somerset College for training camps in March 2018.
