As the sun set over the Quad on Sunday 12 November, it created the perfect afternoon for the 2017 Somerset Swing and Jazz Singing Concert hosted by our singing teachers Miss Jenine Carnell and Miss Mia Fanning. With 50 jazz tunes from Fly me to the Moon to a jazz version of Justin Biebers Love Yourself.
Performances were colourful and diverse with sax solos, duos, trios, a beautiful original song performed by Ms Melanie Framp, and a fabulous performance by the ever popular Ms Jennifer George featuring the dynamic dancing duo Davy Harris and his dance partner Alina.
Awards were presented to students who have shown commitment and demonstrated improvements in their singing lessons throughout the year, of course we would love to give an award to every singing student as they were all amazing on the night.
We look forward to a fabulous year of singing in 2018.
